Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I last blogged. But I'm happy to be back. Sew, Mama, Sew's Giveaway Day is a good way to come back! Have you seen all the giveaways? I'm so excited to enter some of them. :)

Let's get started on my giveaway. I'm giving away "Amigurumi Toy Box." And some yarn. And a pack of crochet needles. This is one of my favorite books! I'm not good at crochet yet. I'm just learning. But I've made 2 amis so far.

To win, all you have to do, is leave me the name of your favorite craft book. It could be sewing, crochet, crafts, etc. Just one comment. My giveaway is for international shipping. And is open 12/12/11 12PM-12/16/11 3PM MST. Good Luck! :) C

Hm! I'm Czech, so my favourite crafting books won't tell you much - but I found "Make Your Own Patterns" by Rene Bergh very useful for getting a hang on how sewing patterns work - that one's international. Although I guess there must be loads of other pattern-making books out there and this one might not even be the best (probably isn't, because it's not often referenced).
I've always wanted to make amigurumi, but crocheting and me don't quite pair up... Maybe the book would help me. Thank you for hosting the giveaway!

What a neat giveaway!
My favourite craft book ... that is hard. I have a few craft books and I get many from the library. I am not sure whether there is one that I could pick over ALL others. :-) I usually take something from almost every book. One book I own and I really love though is "Free and easy stitch style". I have not made any of the projects in the book - but I am doing applique the way it is explained in the book and I love it. It explains the technique so well!!! And the projects are cute and inspirational!

Thanks for the fun giveaway,

Ms Muffin

Awesome giveaway! My favorite craft book is the 1979 edition of Reader's Digest book of crafts. Mostly because my mom gave it to her mom, and when my grammy died the book was given to me. It has a very sweet inscription in the front that I treasure, but I also use it for (not kidding) crochet patterns. :)

My favourite craft book is for quilting, Cherri House's City Quilts. I love pretty well everything in that book, though I've yet to start working on any of the projects I'd like to make from it.

This book you're giving away looks completely adorable! I've done crochet in the past, but haven't done much recently. I always want to get back into it, but then start on projects too complicated for someone who needs to learn to read patterns again :D

In trying to fix a crocheted tablecloth I inherited recently (made in 1920's), I've checked out of the library the book "Crochet Lace Innovations: 20 Dazzling Designs in Broomstick, Hairpin, Tunisian, and Exploded Lace" by Doris Chan. Well my head wants to explode. It's way over my head, but i still check it out for several weeks to pour over. I'm just amazed at lace patterns and the skill. I'm a newbie at crochet, but watch a lot of tutorials on youtube as well. For me it's easier to learn when I see the crochet hook actually moving in a video. Someday I'll learn enough to repair the tablecloth :)
